Douglas Gene Boyer
A research hydrologist with the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Appalachian Farming Systems Research Center in
Beaver, West Virginia. Past research emphasis was in the areas of surface mine hydrology,
steep pasture microclimatology and water relationships, Appalachian climatology, and
erosion productivity. Recent research emphasis has been in the areas of
grazing systems, nutrient management, and
water quality. Another ongoing research emphasis is agricultural impacts on karst
water quality and hydrology.
Holds an Adjunct Assistant Professor position with the
School of Medicine at
West Virginia University.
